I am on the Discovery Classic Saver plan only because my company has a policy that we are forced to be with Discovery unless our spouse has a cover which we can prove we are to go onto.
None the less, i really don't like being on Discovery. I haven't changed my plan in years because its the only one i can afford with the benefits that can possibly suite my needs.
When we had our annual meeting and a Discovery consultant came out to talk about the different plans to justify the yearly increase, it was mentioned we would have up to 8 maternity visits added to the classic saver to make it more worth while.
Great! I thought so it will get paid out the benefit and not my savings and kept my plan on classic saver. Don't know how I could have been so stupid. First visit to the gynea in 2014 for a maternity visit and it was paid from savings account. Upon querying it with the Dr i saw i was given a code to register with at Discovery so it could pay out the scheme.
Oh no, this isn't good enough for Discovery, i was told it has to get paid from my savings and when the savings is finished only then it kicks it. I really feel cheated and over as I am not going to see the benefit...
