Discovery Health
Disovery Debit Orders

Discovery claim to have contacted all members requesting proof of income in 2013. Surely a pensioner remains a pensioner a year later. My parents medical aid is debited off my account. Last debit on the 02 January was R 2258. Debit on the 02nd February R 4707., My parents are now in the process of obtaining affidavits confirming they are pensioners. My problem is that Discovery now say they will not refund the extra R 2000 even though I can confirm my parents are pensioners. I am out of pocket by R 2000, secondly as the account holder did not receive any notification of an increased debit. Please can Discovery confirm why they will not refund the extra amount debited without authorisation. HARD EARNED INCOME SHOULD NOT BE SO EASILY DISCARDED!!! IF WE HAVE PROOF THAT THE MEMBERS ARE PENSIONERS THEN SURELY THEY SHOULD BE REFUNDED THE EXTRA AMOUNT DEBITED ONCE REQUESTED PROOF OF INCOME HAS BEEN RECEIVED BY DISCOVERY
