Handed over without any knowledge of account

Lancet Laboratories handed me over to SCS/L Marks Attorneys (the most incompetent call centre ever! *) for R49.10. I have NEVER received an account via post / email / sms nor received a single phone call informing me of such an outstanding account. The account has been outstanding for 6 months.

I settled it immediately, but refuse to pay for any debt collecting fees, since it is unethical, unacceptable, unprofessional and illegal to hand clients over to bad debt collectors without providing them with an official tax invoice.

I see that I am not the only client with this issue and I strongly recommend Lancet to review their Account Department's performance and management. It's a disgrace!

The telephone number provided for SCS/L Marks Attorneys only works now and then and the email address given to me by two different agents [Email Removed] is incorrect.

Clearly a massive competency issue for both companies involved = recipe for disaster!

I am now awaiting a letter of confirmation that the matter is settled and that my name is cleared of any and all indications that I have been handed over for bad debt.

I will as a result never again make use of Lancet Laboratories
