Link Pharmacy
Discriminatory behaviour at Link Pharmacy

I was waiting in one of two queues to speak to a pharmacist. The one queue was headed by a white female pharmacist (the queue in which I was standing) and the other by an elderly white male pharmacist. In front of me was a white female and then an African male. When the customer in front of the queue in which I was standing left, the pharmacist called over a white customer in the second queue. The male pharmacist then came around the counter and asked me what I wanted. I said that I wanted to speak about throat medication but was happy to wait until the man in front of me had been served. The pharmacist mumbled something and then, returning to the counter, put down medication for me on the counter. Again I said I was happy to wait my turn. The African man who had now been passed over twice also objected to the pharmacist. And we wonder why race relations are strained! I decided to complain to the CEO of the Link Group. The Link Head office number listed on its web had been disconnected and Telkon gave me the number of the Florida Branch. They said they didn't know the number of Head Office! Talk about absence of accountability to customers!
