My policy is with Liberty Medical Lifestyle Plus and I was told that this was the top cover to have for hospital cover. My husband was admitted into hospital and when I phoned Liberty I was told that they would only cover R3400 for his full stay (5 days) I was told that they only cover surgery. I have spoken to 4 different financial advisors who have all advised me to stay on this scheme because it's supposedly brilliant.
How is this brilliant when me and my dependants will only be covered if surgery is involved?
I contacted Liberty via e-mail and received a mail back saying they apologise for poor service but they can see on the system that I have already contacted them - case closed.
I can only surmise that since this policy is now 'closed for business' Liberty is no longer making any money off the policy and so there is no longer any cover offered by this policy.
