Enhanced Travel Benefit not as Advertised Jan'14

For the last 6 months Discovery Vitality have been sending out mailers advertising/promoting their new enhanced travel benefits & destinations boldly stating that it would be available from January 2014. This was even advertised under the Vitality; Latest News tab of their website as;

"The enhanced 2014 VitalityTravel benefit: flights

From January 2014, we've added even more benefits to your travel experience through Vitality. You can explore the world with Vitality, British Airways International and Emirates. You'll have over 100 Emirates destinations to travel to..."

Based on this advertising I'd posponed booking the air ticket for my holiday to Morocco to use this benefit promised to Vitality members. I dutifully waited till January 2014 to book my ticket just to find out that the enhanced benefits/destinations were not available yet & then to be informed by the call centre that it probably wouldn't be until the 2nd quarter of 2014. That is blatant false advertising, I would have booked my ticket in November already had I know that the benefit would not be available in January 2014 as advertised.

Wonder what the comsumer protection would make of these false advertising?
