I sent in all the documentation to Fedhealth with a quote got by the Prof in Pretoria for a procedure to be performed on my wife. Fedhelth approved the ICD codes and procedure but failed to let you know that the Prof is charging 3 x the medical aid scheme rates and the outstanding amount is for your own account at the end of the year when your medical aid has been wiped out. Thanks Fedhealth for dropping us with a bomb.
I was only informed of the extra 3 Grand that I had to pay the hospital before admission with a sms.
If we had the warning beforehand we would have cancelled the procedure.
Where does one find 10 Grand before Xmas. That's 3 years bonus for me.
