I applied to join Discovery Medical Aid starting 1 January 2014 and the outcome of my application was that 3 months waiting period will have to apply because i was a member of a registered south african medical scheme and i had a break in membership of less than 90 days since my last medical cover. I dont recall ever having a break in membship for less than 90 days since my last medical cover, and i am not comfortalble with 3 months waiting period. Can Discovery please fix this, or i will choose another medical aid to apply to as this is really unfair.
