I consulted with Dr Maisto at the Life Brenthurst Clinic in Parktown on 17 April 2013
They claimed a total of R414.25 from my medical aid but it bounced back because they captured my ID number incorrectly and was not recognised as a member.
Please note that when I was at the clinic my ID and my medical aid card were copied they both have my ID number. I did not receive a call or mail regarding this because they had also captured my address instead of Frans Amigo Street as "Frans Amingo".
Four months down the line I receive mail from their lawyers Daly morgan saying I should pay this amount. With no communication whats so ever before that.
When I called Dr Maistos offices that lady that works there says to me SHE realises why there was an error my ID was incorrectly captured thus the medical aid rejected it.
She resubmitted the claim to my medical aid but they refused to pay because the claim is more than four months old. If I had been notified of this problem before hand I would have known that there was this issue and contacted medical aid but I was contacted late thus could not contact my medical aid.
