Hi,
I have been informed that I need to register on the Fedhealth diabetic care plan for the management of my diabetes as from 2014.
BUT after speaking to 3 people, I am still not registered and my diabetic management is at risk!!
Issues I have encountered:
1. No diabetic specialists are defined on the Fedhealth Network so which doctor must I go to?
2. I can just telephonically provide my medicine requirements - am I a doctor??
3. My current diabetic clinic is not a provider so I would have to make co-payments - diabetes is a PMB???
I was on the CDE programme but this will not be covered in 2014 by Fedhealth. Then why is your diabetic care plan not set up properly? I was sent from Fedhealth to Medscheme and back again because neither knows what is happening.
