Unreasonable and Questionable business practise

XL Travel by Arrangement agent booked 8 rooms at The View Boutique Hotel & Spa, Amanzimtoti, for the dates 13/15 Aug 2013. Travel agent prepaid hotel in full on 27 July 2013. Client had a change of venue. Travel Agent cancelled rooms with the hotel on the 6th August 2013. Hotel unfortunately could not refund unless we could get other bookings to replace on the specific dates. On the 13 August 2013, agent called the hotel to replace 3 of the rooms and was told that the hotel was fully booked. When I identified myself to Ashley the reservations manager at the hotel, he said I should take it up with management. To date the hotel has not responded or given us a refund for the replaced rooms. This is highly unprofessional and unfair under the consumer protection act. The hotel should honour their email regarding the refund for the replacements.
