Trauma Rescue (ER24)
SERVICE

On the 26th of September this year my mother-in-law passed away at her residence in Bothasig. At the time of her passing my 14 year old daughter was at home with her. A call was put through to ER24 for medical response. When I arrived at the residence some 45 minutes later there was no sign of any response. When we phoned to enquire what the status quo was, we were informed that an instruction had been issued by the C.E.O. that they would not attend to the call unless a cash payment was made for the call out.

Subsequently I have addressed a long and detailed account of the events to ER24's call center, posted a tweet and had a response from Mr. Boden who undertook "to investigate the matter" and come back to me.

Two weeks down the road - nothing has happened. I am sick and tired of large corporations thinking that they are "untouchable", especially after the CEO has undertaken to investigate the matter and supply feedback.

I am fully aware that nothing said or done will reverse the sequence of events that took place on the 26th of September, but feel that they need to know to shortcomings to improve service delivery where necessary.

Let see if this gets a response.
