SpecSavers charges Student for broken glasses

I recently took my Grandmother for an eye check at SpecSavers in Waterkloof Ridge in Pretoria, after the eye test I asked Genine Pienaar, the optometrist to check my glasses as I was getting headaches. She accidentally broke one of my lenses. She gave me a pair of tester contact lenses to wear until I could get my glasses fixed. I recently had new lenses made and I went to SpecSavers in Menlyn and asked them to just cut and install the lenses for me after explaining my situation. The optometrist there, Refilwe, blatantly refused to do it unless I pay the R140 fitting fee. As a student I do not have money laying around so I tried to respectively explain my situation again. After being treated with an extremely bad attitude I relented as I need my glasses to see! I was then asked to fill out an indemnity form, stating that SpecSavers will take NO responsibility for any breakages to my lenses of my glasses as they were not purchased with them. But in fact I did buy my frame from the group in 2011, I mentioned this to Refilwe as well. I am extremely disappointed in SpecSavers and I will never buy anything from them again, I will also advise everyone I know to do the same.
