I joined Planet Fitness through Discovery a few years back. I took it out because the Craighall branch was near my work and Discovery will see from my attendance records that I was a more than regular visitor. Earlier this year the Craighall branch closed for renovations and said they would re-open in September. Although we were told we could go to other branches none are close enough to either my work or home to make regular visits feasible, and I asked if there was a way to suspend my membership until the Craighall branch opened again. I tried to explain this in an email to Vitality, but the woman who replied clearly didn't read my query because she even got my gym wrong - mentioned Virgin Active instead of Planet Fitness). Now yesterday I got an email from Vitality telling me I need to go to gym 8 times before end of October else I'll lose my membership... which would have been feasible had Planet Fitness not just announced they are only opening again in middle/late November! Surely if Planet Fitness has messed up re-opening this branch then Vitality needs to address the issue with them?
