On the 12th of August 2013, by father had an operation to repair his diaphraghm. The op was successful and 48 hours after the op he was laughing, eating, and cracking jokes. He went into ICU straight after the op. I was told by one of the ICU Doctors that even though my father looked well, I must just bear in mind that he is in ICU and that anything can happen. I was taken back by his comment. About 3 days later, my father's condition worsened. He had to be ventolated, then we were told he would need diallissis for his kidneys. We were told that he picked up Scepsis and an infection in his right lung and that he had renal failure. From the time my father was ventolated right up until he passed away, he was not responding to us at all. Everytime I asked the doctors and nurses if he was sedated, i got different answers. We as the family were called in at the last minute as his condition was critical. We arrived there at: 1:45pm and my father passed away just after 3pm. After his death, no doctor came to explain what the cause of his death was and we felt like they were in a hurry to get us out of hospital and go home after my father's death. i can go on.
