My grandchild was on my medical until he was a year old and the I took him off my medical aid. His grandmother (not my wife) took the child to St Georges hospital and told them that I am responsible for the account and they accepted it without contacting me. If they contacted the medical aid for authorization, they would have realized that the child was not on medical aid. They did not contact me to ask for a copy of my id or any other details and the signature on the the admission forms is not even in my surname but next to my name. They hold me now accountable for a amount more than R6000.This total and the hospital dont want to listen to me even.
