My father has been in Mulbarton ICU since Thursday last week. We go and visit everyday. He was not moved in 4 days. I phoned the "Nursing Manager" today and she advised that my father was moved into a chair and washed today. I informed her that I was not happy with the nursing service of the agency staff (when we enquire about progress, they cannot answer us). Tonight we visit and we are welcomed with rudeness and bad attitude from the staff. My father had faeces in his Ileostomy bag and we inquired why? No one could answer us and insisted that it was a Colonostomy. My fathers history is written on his chart! I had to phone the doctor myself to get some information. On the other hand, after discussion finances with his wife, MANDY from accounts tells my father today that his funds are almost depleted and he will be transferred to Baragwanath! Do you discuss these things with a critically ill patient? I do not think so. I FEAR TO LEAVE MY FATHER I THAT HOSPITAL AS I DO NOT KNOW HOW HE WILL BE TREATED!!!
