I went for an operation last year. I picked up an infection, either due to negligence of the hospital or the Dr. I am refusing to pay an outstanding bill due to the infection picked up. It has cost me well over R100k now to fix it. I had to go back to hospital this year, the prostesis that was put in had to be taken out, I was on irrigation for two weeks in hospital, two months after I had to go back and have another operation!! I have been on crutches since May and still have to be on crutches until October! I have investigations with both the HASA and the Medical board. I have told you and will tell you now publicly again, I WILL NOT PAY THE OUTSTANDING AMOUNT UNTIL THE INVESTIGATIONS ARE FINISHED. AND I WILL NOT PAY FOR NEGLIGENCE! So send you sherrif, laywer and whatever else you want. Once negligence is proved I will be holding you liable for ALL the costs incurred by me and my medical aid due to your negligence since you now want to be like this. So sue me and do whatever you want. I have everything I need to fight you on this. And I have spoken to an Attorney and I know exactly what I can and can't do.
