This is ridiculous, my dad needs an Emergency Brain surgery, as been specified by his Neurologist. His surgery was booked for last Thursday, on Wednesday afternoon we received a phone call from the doctors office saying they need to postpone the surgery because Discovery haven't authorised the surgery. The surgery was moved to tomorrow, but we received the same call today moving the surgery to Thursday. Because my dad is on Keycare, he needs a letter from the referral GP??? What does the GP got to do with this procedure, they paid him cash and didn't claim any money from discovery for the consultation, all we need is auth for the surgery which the Neurologist marked as Emergency and also the Neurosurgeon. My dad can at any movent have a stroke... why must we wait and go through all this stress and trauma everyday. Please send a list of rules and regulations to all clients and doctors!!
