I am so fed up with the service from Bestmed, every time you phone them they do not seem to know what is going on and you get sent from pillar to post. Today I needed to phone them for Pre-Authorisation, I dialled the number as it appears on my medical aid card - 080 0222 0106, when the lady picked up she said that this is the incorrect number for Pulse 1 I need to phone 086 166 5665, the lady that I got transferred to said that this is the incorrect number for Pulse 1, I need to phone 080 022 0106 - I then decided to check on the Bestmed website, there is a link you can click on for the telephone number but it doesn't open up, so I phoned 080 022 0106 again, I got transferred to another lady who then said that she can help me. The authorization I need is to visit another network GP as my nominated GP is fully booked for the next few days, she then asked me what the practice number and the ICD 10 code is, I said that I don't know what the ICD 10 code is because he hasn't been to the doctor yet and we don't know what is wrong with him, she insisted on the code and after a long deliberation she gave me an authorisation number, after asking what his symptoms are.
