My sister contracted malaria in Mozambique and we took her to Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Hospital for assistance. The nurse that was in charge at the reception area where we had to wait for a doctor was very rude and did not care what your illness was as long as you just sit and wait u'r turn. After 4 hours of waiting in the qeue we finally saw the doctor just for him to shove a thermometer in my sister's mouth for 30 sec and then telling her she has to go to Helen Joseph as she lives in the wrong suburb... No care for patience well being at all and they could see that she was almost too weak to walk. Looks like the staff at this place was only there because they had to be, what happened to the doctors and nurses that was actually in this profession to help people? I feel sorry for those who don't have a choice but i'll never take anyone to this place again, won't even trust them with my dog, rather go to Helen Joseph, it's not perfect but at least we got the help that we needed.
