Unnecessary charges

To whom it may concern,

I have recently recieved a hospital account from Netcare Sunninghill stating that I have an outstanding balance of R298.26 for a blanket which was used in theatre. The blanket is not covered by my medical aid due to the fact that it is only used for the elderly and again only in extreme cases. I am 28 years old.

I phoned my medical aid and they have stated that Netcare Sunninghill should discount this from my account as it was not necessary to use the blanket. I contacted Netcare Sunninghill last month to resolve the issue but have been told that they will discuss with Accounts Manager and have never recieved any come back.

I have been for five surgeries in the past year and not once been charged by the hospital due to the fact that my medical aid covers 100% of the hospital account except on this occasion
