Medi-Clinic
Prejudiced Misdiagnosis

On Sunday, 26 of July, I was EXTREMELY sick. Eventually I went to Cape Gate Medi Clinic Emergency Centre, I had fever, constant vomiting, pins and needles and involuntary spasm in my arms, legs, face and neck, sitting with a really bad headache that runs right down my spine. I had uncontrollable tremors for 5 hours and it only stopped once I was under 6 blankets. Personally, I feel the doctors in the ER is incompetent. They took a look at my medical history, saw I was on anti-depressants and immediately said it was an anxiety attack. Now, an anxiety attack, lasts for a few minutes and you don't get fever!
They had me admitted, then sent me for x-rays to ensure my spine is okay, the day there after they sent me for a brain scan as my headaches have not even slightly subsided, regardless of what pain medication they gave me. Eventually they discharged me, with a diagnosis of "headache". I followed up by another doctor or two, who did other blood tests, and they said I definitely have an infection and that an anxiety attack was not even CLOSE to the problem. I was prejudiced on my medication and nothing I said changed their minds. What action can be taken against something like this??
