My 5 year old daughter hit her head on the coffee table while on holiday in the Northern Drakensberg, so being as isolated as we were, the nearest hospital was in Ladysmith. She needed stitches as the wound was very deep.
I called ahead and spoke to the reception at La Verna to explain our situation and that we were driving through to them and what had happened. the staff were very understanding and helpful with directions etc, on arrival after getting ourselves lost, we were seen to right away, the staff, in particular Patricia M was fantastic, she calmed my little one down and helped my husband take her through to the emergancy room.
I filled in the paperwork and the lady at the front desk processed everything not asking me to pay anything until she got hold of my medical aid and told me to go through to my daughter whiloe she did everything. This was so pleasant, unlike some of my previous expereinces at other private hospitals.
Dr Beharriram came and stitched my daughter up and was so pleasant and gentle (clam) with her, she only cried once, and that was when they gave her the local before the stitches. I really want people to know how amazing they are!!!
