Purchased Second hand copier with maintenance contract. Initially quoted billing as R150-00 for first 1000 copies and thereafter R0.0795 cents per page. We purchased this machine and paid for it fully on the strength of the maintenance contract price. When we received our first account for the maintenance contract, they billed the whole account on 15c a copy which was totally incorrect. I had brought this to the attention of the accounts department as well as the sales person with whom i did the deal. I have tried to pursue the matter with accounts department, the sales lady and the Durban branch manager with no satisfactory response virtually to honour the original quote and costing arrangement and the sales lady indicated the she is willing to cancel the deal on the maintenance contract.. I have the quotation for the machine and a copy of a signed contract with the quoted values. They say that if I am not happy with the billing, I must sign a letter sent out to me by sharp electronics to cancel the contract with them which they have sent to me already. I have not signed yet. Is this the type of service received by an internationally recognized electronics company.
