On the 11 July 2016, we decided to go to Debonairs Tongaat for supper. We took our daughter who simply loves the chicken and feta pizza. So, we got a real deal pizza for her to take home and we ordered the special 2 large for R119, so that the 3 of us will share. We ordered a spicy chicken and a creamy chicken. We told them to box it but we will eat in because the revamp looks great. Our pizza came to us. I opened the box and realised the top pizza which was supposed to be “spicy chicken” was not chicken. So we moved the top box aside and I decided to go to the cashier and tell her that the 1 pizza was not chicken. By the time she got there I started eating the creamy chicken. The cashier got there and says “sorry, we mixed up the order” and she looks at me and says to me “why don’t you PLACE that slice back and I will bring you your order”.
Now we have already opened the box, made physical contact with the food and not to mention, I started eating the pizza and she wanted me to “PLACE” it back in the box???? How very dam frustrating that someone wants to literally take the food out of your mouth because she messed up the order? The cashier wanted to actually give someone else the food that I touched.
So unhygienic!! If this is what is going on at Tongaat Debonairs, I will never support that place again. And everyone questions why the locals do not support local businesses? Here’s a good enough reason why!!!!! You don’t know where your food’s been.
