Pathetic aftermarket service

I recently took my television to LG electronics to have it repaired. They took my deposit and I was told they would contact me with a quote on repairs and that the deposit would go towards the repairs.

A week went by and no phone call. I decided to call them and I was then told that they do not stock parts for my television and that they cant repair it. There policy is they only keep aftermarket parts for five years then discontinue it. I also forfeit my deposit since that goes towards inspecting.

I am disgusted at the aftermarket service LG provides.if they don't except products older than five years they should advertise as such and make mention of this when a customer drops off products for repair.also the five year period is ridiculous. This tells me you only expected to keep a product five years then thro it away since they won't back it with spair parts.

I am very disappointed to get such bad service from such a massive corporate brand. I shudder to think how many other customers fall pray to having to provide deposits and are told afterwards that the appliance is redundant because they don't stock parts for it.
