We bought an steam iron from Long Beach Pick n Pay 5 months ago. End of November we moved to Northern Suburbs, and the iron stopped heating up. My husband took the iron to Pick n Pay Glengary, and they could not help him and told him to phone customer service, which he did, the lady in customer service said she would get back to him, he had to phone her bac twice because she never got back to him, the third time she said she was waiting for Ottery hyper to get back to her, 25 hours later he phoned her again and she said she would get back to him in 5 minutes, after an hour and half a man from Ottery hyper phoned, he was not interested because he said we did not have the payslip, this was lost in the move, but if he had asked to see the iron he would have seen that the box and iron were new, he was not concerned at all. My husband worked for Pick n Pay for 27 years and is now on pension, and when he dealt with customers in the past this type of service would never had been tolerated. It seems that Pick n Pay now does not care at all for their customers and due to this we will never go into another Pick n Pay shop, my husband said he would speak to Raymond Ackermann, and the response was'' Speak to Raymond Ackerman over an iron" Raymond Ackerman would not be happy that his store which he loved has turned into this tyupe of business.
