I have a Galaxy S3. On 26 December 2013, my battery stopped charging. On 27 December I took the phone to the Samsung Service Centre in Constantia office Park in Roodepoort. They didn't look at my phone, just listened to me and told me it must be the battery. They then told me they were out of stock and that I would need to wait at least 14 days. I was frustrated at this. Surely you'd have stock of batteries. They said they'd contact me when the stock arrived. I decided to see if I could find a generic battery - which I did. I had exactly the same problem with this battery... which means that its the phone that has a problem, not the battery. I went back to the service centre and told them this (30 December). They then said that its the main frame of the phone that is faulty. But, they ALSO didn't have stock of this either. Once again they said, they would contact me when stock arrived. In-between all of this, I went to almost every Samsung store I could find (as well as Cell Phone shops) to see if I could find a battery charger kit so that I could charge my battery outside of the phone. There isn't stock of S3 stuff anywhere. I am yet to get a call about stock!!
