Upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone in July 2013. The battery heats up and has swollen and battery lasts only a few hours before the phone reboots continuously. Once plugged in it returns to 100% within a few minutes. I contacted the cell shop where I upgraded, Quantum cellular in Festival mall, pretty useless. They want me to bring my phone in with my contract and they will send the phone away to MTN for repair...!! I contacted Samsung, I must also bring my phone in, problem is I am on the East Rand and must take it all the way to Constantia JHB. Is there no where on the East Rand that can help? After Googling this problem, I realised it is a worldwide Samsung issue that they have acknowledged and are supposed to replace certain batteries with certain serial numbers immediately. I wonder with the battery swelling up if there is danger of it exploding, and causing injury whilst in my pocket...
