I purchased an R18500 high performance laptop from Brilliant Tech, an online supplier. When it was delivered, I could see that the packaging was not in mint condition. I queried this with the supplier and I was assured that it was a brand new machine.
I had issues during the initial laptop setup (NVIDIA graphics card not recognised by Windows), then I had issues installing the on-board (Intel HD Graphics 4000) graphics card. I eventually managed... Just to find that the incorrect power supply was shipped with the machine. The supplier sent me a new supply.
Soon after all of the above was 'sorted' it started behaving erratically. About a month after it was purchased -
It would suddenly freeze, give a blue screen, become so hot that your fingers would actually burn when you touch it (the area next to the power button is starting to peel/blister due to the heat). The newest issue is that the brightness setting does not work, which is extremely frustrating as I use it to work on.
I have requested a refund, but now the supplier is ignoring me. I would strongly recommend that you do not buy from this supplier.
