After a sofware upgrade from ICS to JB on my year-old SGS2 on MTN contract I experienced massive battery drain pronlems. I booked the phone in to the accredited Samsung repair centre TM Electronics in Springfield Park, Durban and after a 3 week wait only a battery replacement was done. The change in battery perfomance was slight. R650 later (for battery & labour) I possess a phone that I can only use sparingly. An internet check reveals that this is not an isolated problem. Samsung should do something to support users of this phone as the software upgrade is an official version. If they are not in a position to do so, then a replacement with the original OS should be provided ss the phone is still under warranty.
