Poor service from samsung

I bought the Samsung NX1000 camera for R5990.00 from Clearwater Mall before I left on an overseas holiday on 14 December 2012. The second time a tried to charge it on my holiday, the battery charger malfunctioned. I was not able to use the camera for most of my holiday in India. I took the faulty battery charger to clearwater on 9 January 2013. No feedback was given regarding the problem from Samsung. When I phoned today, I was informed that Samsung will not replace the battery charger and are not able to repair it either. I will have to buy a new charger at a cost of R2000. What about my guarantee?
