WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF HAVING A GUARANTEE

Purchased a fridge in 2011 from House and Home in Gateway, almost 2 years later the fridge starts giving problems, called Samsung went to cal centre refused to corporate, got referred to Technifix to Repairs, Technician comes out 1st call out repairs fridge, a week later broken again, Technician comes out 2nd time replaces part, fridge stops working, Technician comes out the 3rd time replaces compressor, 2 day later fridge stop working completely date 05/09/2013. Technician comes out 4th time to check fridge, states quote "fridge is not repairable need to replace whole unit with a new one", Samsung will contact us on Monday 07/09/2013. Called in on Monday to Technifix manager is unavailable was told "might send out Technician on 08/09/2013" Called House and Home. Manager helped by replacing Fridge which we as customers had to pay a R2000 more just to get a new fridge was told by manager of House and Home "we cannot accommodate for your losses as we cannot replace your fridge you will have to purchase a new one" we had horrible service from House and Home gateway, Samsung and Technifix. We had no refund of all our loss while these companies gained, we still till date have no fridge
