I bought a Galaxy S3 mini in March of this year and its an awesome phone. Now a little while ago I sat down on a chair and the phone slid out of my pocket and fell on the ground. When I picked it up the screen was cracked. I was even more shocked to discover that the screen did not want to come on anymore. I can still unlock the phone and click on things, but the screen just stays black. I have restarted the phone several times, but I can still only hear all the sounds but see nothing.
In my opinion the phone is now pretty much useless. It also turns out that my service provider hasn't given me any warranty what so ever. According to the Samsung store in Brooklyn mall, there is also no Samsung warranty and it can cost me up to R3000 to repair my screen. Can't afford!
I just think that this is really poor quality. I have had samsung phones since 2003. This is my 4th Samsung and its by far the least durable. Phones are going to fall. Its inevitable. This phone should come with a warranty, or a warning, or at least a wrist strap. Weren't these phones drop tested? Now I am going to be paying a monthly installment for 24 months for something I cannot use. What am I supposed to do now?
