I bought a SAMSUNG microwave via GAME-Benoni (14 Nov 2012).
The electronics however are not sealed off from insect infestation (e.g. ants, roaches)
Recently I noticed the clock display was distorted and that the distortion was different on different days. Looking closely INTO the glass panel I discovered a nest of roaches.
I reported a Design Fault to SAMSUNG via their website and took it to the SAMSUNG recommended repair centre as directed. 2 issues arise...
1. DESIGN FAULT - NO way should a kitchen appliance be designed so that its electronics are not sealed and thus open to infestation. The agents cleaned out the infestation (out of warranty) but refused to seal off the electronics. The electronics will eventually be destroyed by insects at my cost. If I spray I will damage the electronics. The device is therefore UNwarrantable because of this design fault
2. INTERNAL DAMAGE - The agents say the oven was dropped; a part is "bent" inside the cover. It was not me. No external evidence exists. ANY future warranty claim are likely to be denied because "its been dropped" thus making this appliance UNwarrantable.
3 email queries remain unanswered.
I WANT THIS APPLIANCE REPLACED.
