I recently went trough my bank statements and noticed deductions from my account. Every month the reference number changed but the amounts went off twice, one of R249.00 and the other of about R99.00 for 7 months in a row. I then phoned up my bank, FNB, in order to find out why these debits have been deducted. The consultant said that the debiting company is StratCol with name Platinum Credit. Now, I had an account with PC which was cancelled in 2007. When speaking to a call center consultant, they told me that they had a system upgrade recently and the database carried overs some users. As this was unacceptable, I cancelled the account again and requested a refund. 4 months later I still don't have my money back. I've made numerous phone calls and sent mails to [Email Removed] Every time I get the same story. "Your details have been escalated for urgent payment.
Not sure where to from here. This is clearly. From what I could research, I'm not the only one experiencing this headache.
