Failure to notify me of declined residence applica

During the course of last year (August 2012), I was forced to place my studies on hold due to unforeseen family circumstances. As a result of this, I then submitted a residence cancellation form, for my place at student town, house 58B, APK. I informed Ms. Veronica Ngobese of my situation, and she then told me that if I had intended to resume my studies in 2013 that I should: a) provide a reason for the sudden cancellation; and b) clearly state on the cancellation form that, I do not want my residence deposit to be refunded, as I wish to be considered for placement in 2013.

On the 7th of January 2013, I drove from my home in Rustenburg, to the University of Johannesburg, APK Campus, to try and find out why I had not received any information whatsoever regarding my residence placement. I was told verbally that my application has been declined. i submitted a formal complaint to the following email addresses as provided by the website ([email protected]; [email protected];). I have not receive any feedback to date.

Due to the late notification, I may have to quit my final year of study, as I have been unable to locate affordable accommodation in the Johannesburg area.
