I applied for exemptions at UNISA for subjects I passed at UNISA at a postgraduate level in order to complete another qualification. I completed the exemption forms as required by the registration department. I received no response so I gave them a call regarding my application. They then stated that I need to deal with the economic and management studies faculty directly. So I contacted the faculty and they said they didn't know anything. Having had no luck with my application, I decided to contact the lecturers directly to check who I can speak to regarding my exemptions as he had stated that based on my previous studies I would definitely get them. He then put me in touch with a lady named Thabile who works in the faculty. I was afraid that I would miss the registration deadline while they were trying to resolve the exemptions matter so I registered for the other subjects required for the course while I wait to hear from the exemptions department. I registered based on the fact that the lecturers advised me that I would definitely get the exemptions as well as the fact that they are for subjects already passed at a higher level.
