On Monday 26-11-2012 I received a call from Crystal Vorster (principal) at Swan Nursery and Prep School informing me that Teacher Ann spilled luke warm tea on Kate (my one and a half year old girl). After having a heart attack and asking my 20 000 questions, I was assured that it was only luke warm tea and that Kate is just a little red. When I asked her if Kate needs to be taken to the Dr. I was told that it's not really necessary and that they have as a precaution put burn shield on. I went to the school to have a look for myself and we had everyone looking for Kate for about 5 minutes as no one knew where she was. We eventually found her in a back (store) room behind a closed door on a windowsill. I had a look at Kate's injuries and she actually had burnt blisters!!! What the are they doing with hot tea around children? If that was actually what happened. The school is negligent and irresponsible! I removed my children from the school that same day. The Dr. confirmed that Kate has 1st and 2nd degree burns!! I was accused of slandering their name when I advised the other parents of my experience with them. The school referred me to their lawyer for further comment.
