I was due to write an exam on 14 May but had a death in the family two days before the exam date. I immediately communicated the bereavement to Unisa and asked for module exam date to be moved to the second semester. After tw weeks, I received feedback, a one line reading "please provide death certificate". I responded advising that it would insensitive for me to engage my uncle, whose son had just passed, to request the death certificate. In addition to this, UNISA would still charge me an admin fee to move the exam date.
To date, I have received no response. The fact they dont have a call centre makes my situation worse as I cannot call them, I feel as if UNISA treating me this way to frustrate me and ensure I re-register for a module I have already paid for.
Really disgusted.
