I enrolled my daughter in Montessori in February 2013 my daughter fell ill and from the time she started attending Montessori she got progressively ill and her health continued to deteriorate. The paediatrician diagnosed my daughter with a low immune system &advised that i should wait until she is stronger &older to send her back she also gave a letter of recommendation. In the last two months (April & May) my daughter hardly attended school and I paid full fees which I understand after the paediatricians recommendation I contacted them after my daughter got pneumonia. And I asked if I could remove my child the response I got was I need to give 3 months' notice period and pay the 3 months fees.. There was no compassion shown until I escalated this &event then a minimum level of compassion, there seemed to be no understanding that if my child cont. to attend she would get more ill and that she would pass her germs onto other kids or that she would pick up the slightest germ and it would develop into something further. Surely Montessori needs to evaluate the childrens best interest and show compassion as opposed to copying and pasting terms and conditions as their first response.
