We accepted a quote for this company to do work to a value of R27k.
We paid a R16k deposit.
4 weeks later (of a job that was supposed to only take 1 to 2 weeks). They disappeared and made every excuse on the planet as to why they could not finish the job in time.
A new employee appeared (Anthony) who claimed the owners (mike and lee) are drug addicts and alcoholics. He proceeded to tell me he wants to finish the job, but Mike and Lee have not purchased the materials required. He convinced me that I have to pay him a daily cash value of R1500 (which we did for 6 days running) totaling R9000.
He then was supposed to deliver the rest of the goods and finish the job, as can be expected. He also disappeared.
Mike and Lee have since then made promises to deliver and excuses ranging from "broken car" to "strikes" to "waiting for materials" but never actually doing any work.
In pure frustration I called another maintenance company who also quoted on the initial job. (having been defrauded of R25k) who came out to look at the site and quoted R32k to fix the damage Countrywide have done. Their response was that the site is worse off than it was before Countrywide started working.
