We used Sim & Sam's Construction (Simphiw Dayile, owner/manager) to do some repairs and what a disaster! Repairs were done shoddily (confirmed by a trained contractor), services quoted were never done (he quoted R22000 total for painting fixing shower door, repairs of doors, etc etc) but all that was done was the painting for R9000, R13000 unaccounted for and he says we must call lawyers when we ask. He painted ONE coat of white paint over a blue wall and today scratches reveal the blue (scratches made by him when moving furniture). When we eventually did involve lawyers, he denied receiving the letter 3 mths later. After sending again, he told us to wait for his lawyer to reply but then a few weeks later to 'leave him alone". We still don't know what he did (besides really bad painting) in the house. He refuses to give a report of work, just saying "you're crazy" or "leave me"
Him and his wife Nolukholo Dayile ([email protected]), also rented a house from us and ran up the electricity, etc bills and now refuse to pay that which they used in the house, despite us showing them the bills and proof of their usage. NEVER DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE A LOT OF MONEY
