The Carpentry Shoppe vs. Desmond Lingenfelder & Rudi Marais:
Quote given, quote accepted, DEPOSIT PAID:1st date agreed to for installation no arrival, on enquiring via sms & phone calls why nobody pitched for installation: Excuse: (by Sharon Buitendag) we've been burgled & we cannot send out a team for installation. (my response to my husband that night when he told me was: what does the fact that this company has been burgled got to do with the installation, the deposit was paid via EFT & surely they have insurance.) In good faith & trust a second date was agreed to: again no one from The Carpentry Shoppe arrives. Excuse: due to the storm the previous late afternoon, the team is behind schedule & not completed the job at the site. AGAIN in good faith & trust a 3rd date was agreed to and accepted by both parties for installation. Jan & his team did not arrive, (Desmond phoned Jan Buitendag) Jan informed him that he will be at the site the following day, (the 4th date) Desmond informed him that it does not suit us & asked for our money back. We have now laid a case with SAPS & gone to lawyers to get our money back. Sharon & Jan have several companies, be warned!
