We contracted RBS Joinery to replace all our steel windows and doors in our house with wooden ones. Service was shoddy, no supervision by Rennie of his staff (he tended to sit in his van and fall asleep), constant excuses on why things were not done properly, and failure to complete the job on time and properly. We were left with work done half finished and with the wrong wood filling; nails sticking out; splintered wood, which was not oiled or sand-papered properly, and not properly installed. Handles on doors, and other brass fittings, not aligned properly or in line with each other - just installed haphazardly. Do not use this man for your home, as his workmanship and that of his unsupervised staff - is really bad! There is also no follow-up - you can call and call him on his phone and he does not respond, or if he does, he promises and never delivers on those promises. He also insists on being paid for the windows up front, which is fine - because he orders them from somewhere else, but if you pay for labour - and pay immediately he asks you to do so, you have no recourse on him. My suggestion, and pity I did not do this, is hold back at least 10-15% of fee till work completed
