Luber Construction (Bertus Botes) replaced our flat, fibreglass roof with a concrete panel one. During the roughly 4 month job, we had the following complaints:
1. Billing for items not used
2. Shoddy workmanship: a structural wall had to be redone because it looked more like an arch than a straight wall.
3. Grossly over charging for services.
4. We continue to have a leaky roof and plaster cornices keep falling off the walls. I have given up trying to get Bertus to come out and fix his -ups - he is unresponsive to emails.
5. Blames his -ups on others when he can, and never owns up when he is wrong (which is often)
6. It's sometimes hard for him to progress with a job since he is on a cash basis with all his suppliers due to mismanagement of funds.
7. Always complaining about his own personal problems instead of focusing on the job at hand.
Bertus one very slick talker, so beware. This is one contractor who will cut every corner he can and will take your money and run.
