Richard was given the contract to refurbish our bathroom and replace the hot water cylinders. Richard's staff had switched on the fan in our bedroom and walked under it carrying a ladder which totally destroyed the fan. Although Richard promised to replace the fan, which now cost R2500.00 He has never kept his promise and ignores my request.
My 2nd complaint: Richard North had the contract to do all the plumbing of a newly built granny flat that was situated at the back of our double story home. Not only did Richard not keep to the days scheduled for completing the work, promising to be there but not turning up, but also not connecting a waste pipe that was situated in the ceiling of the granny flat, that came from the washing machine in the double story home above. This caused a flood in the granny flat below. When i approached Richard about this, he said that he did not know where the pipe came from, so he never connected it. He promised to come out and attach the pipe to the sewerage line, but once again never kept his promise. We have now been forced to call in another plumber to do the repairs.
I will never recommend Richard for any plumbing work, as i believe that he does not know what he is doing and is not punctual, He makes promises to come and finish the work but always has excuses why he cannot come, either he is sick, and i see him driving around a few hours later, or there is some other more important plumbing emergency that takes preference over your work.
