I purchased an exterior door from Builders and installed same in my house only to find that whenever it rained my kitchen (where the door is installed) would get flooded. assuming that the water came from underneath the door i then went through numerous hassles to seal both the back and front of the underneath only to find that the water is coming through the actual panels in the middle of the door!!! as a result of the flooding my newly installed kitchen built ins were damaged. I contacted the store & relayed my complaint to 3 different ppl, even contacted customer care in cape town. they sent someone to assess the door who then went back & wrote a report staing that the weather strip of the bottom of the door was not correctly fitted. if they listened to my complaint they would not even be inspecting the bottom of the door becoz i did state that the water came through the panels, which was not even checked out by the assessor. fast forward 3 weeks later problem still unresolved, im experiencing difficulty whenevr it rains. at this stage they AGAIN want to send an assessor through obviously not considering the urgency of the situation. the end result is they refuse to accept liability
