Upon acceptance of the quotation, I signed a contract with Action Builders & Construction.
The payment method that was stipulated in the contract, was different than the payment method the bank uses, and therefore we agreed to follow the bank's method.
All went well, then when the building was 70% complete the building contractor started having financial problems. I was impressed with the builder up to date, and borrowed money from a family member, to advance the building contractor, in order for him to finish. The new building is now 98% complete, and there are still work to be done to the main house. The building contractor just did not show up to complete the work. After numerous discussions, the building contractor avoids my calls and does not bother to come and complete his work.
The work outstanding is worth 4x more than the money owed to the building contractor.
Be very careful on how you make payment arrangements with this building contractor, as Loyalty and Dignity are not their virtues.
